Origins & Education

Born in 1975 in Taskriout (Béjaïa, Algeria), Abdelhak Mansouri completed his secondary education at Maouche Idriss High School in Béjaïa. He then studied at the National Higher School of Agronomy (ENSA) in Algiers, earning an engineering degree in Human Nutrition.

Scientific Career

Following his engineering studies, he earned a PhD in Nutritional Physiology, focusing on the peripheral and central mechanisms involved in the regulation of eating behavior. He worked as a Senior Scientist and Group Leader before taking on the role of Senior Account Manager at Idexx Bioanalytics in Switzerland.

Honors & Recognitions

He has authored 23 peer-reviewed publications, which can be accessed on ResearchGate and PubMed.

He also contributed a book chapter titled “Hepatic Mitochondrial Fatty Acid Oxidation and Type 2 Diabetes”, published in December 2015 in Molecular Nutrition and Diabetes by Academic Press (DOI: 10.1016/B978-0-12-801585-8.00028-2).

Impact & Influence

One of his studies on Algerian date palm fruit has been cited over 800 times and is widely regarded as a reference in the field. His other works have contributed to a deeper understanding of the physiological regulation of food intake.
